I want one. Are they any good and are there things that I should know
about them? I have my CBT on sunday and I'm probably going to buy
someting like this. Any advice is welcomed.

Thank you all in advance, Dave.

watch for camshaft and camchain and /or tensioner wear usually
signified by hideous rattling

Beg to differ on the cam-chain and tensioner rattle but the new xr125
appears to use an evolution of the CG125 engine (not the old xl/xr engine!)
which is a push-rod engine so no cam-chain or tensioners to rattle. Tough
as old boots them CGs with plenty of low-down grunt, my brother fitted a CG
engine into an XL frame, niiice!

As long it is serviced regularly with frequent oil changes (every 1000
miles) tappets adjusted and the centrifugal and guaze oil filters cleaned
they are very reliable.

They also benefit from cylinder head porting for more get up and go!

Cheers Rusty P.

Hi Russell

I was of course referring to the camshaft version ... if indeed
the engine has been replaced with the cg125 version then at last
honda have seen sense ;o)

I've got a nearly new one for sale on Ebay Dave (just in case you are
interested?) I've only had it since September, only selling due to lack of
use and a company van :)
It is mint in every way and has less then 120 miles on the clock.
Heres the link :-

The bike is a cracking bit of kit, if I had more time and a need for it I
would keep it :)

Cheers.

Thanks, all. I went to the dealers on Saturday and enthusiasm got the better of
me and I put some cash down on a new one. :-) And I did my cbt on sunday and it
was a really nice day out. I take delivery on the 12th.

Cheers anyway, D.
